Artist Spotlight: Fingerprints
Live at Denton Blues Festival – Sunday, 6:00 PM
Smooth jazz meets soulful grooves when Fingerprints takes the stage at the Denton Blues Festival 2025. Known as “one of the best kept music secrets in the South,” this Dallas-based sextet has been captivating audiences for decades with their seamless blend of jazz, R&B, and soul.
With five acclaimed albums—including their most recent release, Dream Life—Fingerprints has carved out a signature sound shaped by years of live performance. Their music is often compared to greats like The Crusaders and Spyro Gyra, but with a raw, organic style that proves they are a “real band,” built on chemistry, soul, and authenticity.
The group’s lineup features longtime members Frederick Nichelson (bass), Claud Hardrick (saxophone, flute, vocals), Ardina Lockhart (lead vocals), Kennan Wylie (drums, percussion), Larry Davis (keyboards), Austin Crawford (drums), Jordache Grant (keyboards), and Robert Lacroix (guitar). Together, they’ve brought their distinctive sound to clubs, festivals, and stages across the South and Southwest—always drawing standing-room-only crowds.
